The Hoya ULTRA is a super-slim multi coated filter which is ideal for digital and film photography. Filters in this series use new ULTRA thin rings designed primarily to avoid vignetting problems which occur with wide angle lenses. The ULTRA series filters use rings just 3mm in thickness. HMC Multicoating is applied to both sides of the filters and they are supplied with a push-on lens caps. This means that HOYA ULTRA series filters are the ultimate choice for wide angle lenses - there is no other filter available to exceed the ULTRA specification.
