Description PAT. 1892 STUNNING "CELLULOID PHOTO ALBUM" Must Have!! Here is a Fabulous Find from a Fresh Texas Estate Sale!!!!!!!! Signed just inside the front cover Pat. Oct. 11, 1892. Wow!!!!!! This is one of the Loveliest Celluloid Photo Albums that I have had the Pleasure to offer for Auction! The Celluloid on the Front Cover is Just Exquisite. The Floral Pattern is Raised & In the midst of all the Flowers are the words Our Friends. The Flowers are tipped with color in lilac & blue & the stems & leaves are green. The letters are done in a gold, that has fared well over the years. There are only very fine hairline cracks in a few of the flower petal's, that just tend to make them appear to have more of a 3-D effect & a very small chip on the lower right hand corner. Other than the usual yellowing & a few slight scratches & soil of the Celluloid, it is in Excellent Condition! The back of the Album is a deep blue velvet that has lost almost all of its nap, but it is in very good condition (no rip, tears  or weak spots). The spine is very strong, but again has lost all of the nap from the velvet. The clasp is Truly A Jewel! It is Very Ornate & in Perfect Working Order. It is Brass & attached to both sides of the album firmly. It has a finger hold that you place your finger in & push up to release it so that the Album opens for viewing the pictures. Very Clever! Inside the cover is written in pencil the letters BJD with a line & then under the line is a price of $100.00. I have no information as to when this was written or by whom. Then on the adjacent page is the cover sheet that reads in Gold Gilt "ALBUM". This page has a few small tears at the bottom, but nothing to worry about.  There are 14 pages in all that are edged in a Beautiful Gold Gilt. There are 24 slots for 3 3/4" x 5 1/4" pictures & 16 slots for 2" x 3" pictures. 23 Large Black & White Photos & 2 small B & W Photos are included almost all are in Excellent Condition. Almost all of the pages although very fragile are in Excellent Condition. Some have some slight tears near the slots for the pictures & some are discolored more than others due to age. Otherwise this Album is Fabulous & Considered to be in Excellent Vintage Condition!!!It Measures 10 3/4" x 8 1/2" x 2".  Don't Miss Your Chance to Add This Beauty To Your Collection Today!!!!!
