Description
Celestron CPC 1100 GPS (XLT) 11" go-to altazimuth SCT, with SkyAlign and Starbright XLT multicoatings If you can point the Celestron CPC 11 XLT at three bright stars, or two bright stars and a planet or the Moon (you don’t even have to know which stars and planet you’re looking at), it will line itself up on the sky and show you over 45,000 stars, deep space objects, and solar system objects – all automatically! The CPC 11 XLT a fully computerized go-to Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope. It has state-of-the-art Starbright XLT multicoatings and a built-in 16-channel GPS (satellite-based Global Positioning System) receiver. The GPS system and Celestron’s revolutionary new SkyAlign technology take the guesswork and effort out of aligning the scope on the sky to find faint and hidden deep space and solar system objects. The CPC 11 XLT is surprisingly portable for an 11” scope. Taking it to the dark sky observing site it needs to get the most out of its large aperture optics is easy, even for a single individual. With high transmission XLT multicoatings and a light grasp almost 1600 times that of even the sharpest dark-adapted eye, the CPC 11 XLT can reveal to you faint star clusters, nebulas, planets, and galaxies in amazing detail. The CPC 11 XLT is the most advanced, quickest to set up, and easiest to use large aperture telescope that Celestron has ever designed. It is perhaps the ultimate large aperture portable personal telescope, ideal not only for lunar, planetary, and deep sky visual observing, but for 35mm astrophotography and CCD imaging as well. With Celestron’s decades of telescope innovation to look back on, including the first computer-controlled go-to Compustar scopes back in 1986, that’s saying a lot. Celestron HEAVY DUTY WEDGE $340.00 FREE This heavy duty equatorial wedge allows all 8" to 11" Celestron CPC, NexStar GPS, and Ultima 2000 computerized scopes to be used for long exposure astrophotography. It is not needed for visual observing or for short exposure lunar and planetary photography. The wedge is usable over a full 0° to 90° latitude range. The reinforced die cast openwork design of the tilt plate support framework provides great rigidity and strength, but without the extra weight of a wedge with solid cast side pieces. The lighter weight of the tilt plate framework allows the tilt plate pivots to be moved further outboard than a conventional wedge without throwing the assembly out of balance, This puts the center of mass of the telescope closer to the center of mass of the tripod than a conventional wedge, adding to the stability and vibration damping of the scope/tripod assembly. ASTROZAP FLEXI-HEAT DEW SHIELD $125.00 FREE This Flexi-Heat heated dew shield fits Celestron 11" Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes. The flexible plastic rollup dew shield is made of black ABS plastic and lined with black felt to absorb both moisture and light. Its Velcro closures are sewn in place for durability. The heater strip draws only 1.57 amps at full power (although power consumption at normal operating levels will generally be considerably less, particularly with the heat-conserving properties of the dew shield itself). It has a permanently attached 6’ power cord terminated by a male RCA plug for connection to an optional (but required) heater control unit.
