This lense was there then as he was apart of the climbing party for that trip and many more. Also to Antartica. I have seen pictures from these expeditions with Sir Edmund Hillary on the top of Everest taken from this lense which were not for sale. The stories these lenses could tell would be amazing. This is not just a beutiful lense it is a piece of history. Excellent Condition Slight ware to front of lense but not to the glass that is in excellent condition also.
