I bought it six months ago through Amazon to scan all my slides and film (90 rolls) and I'm done now and it's time to let somebody else use it. The scanner came refurbished. The only difference I found between this one and a friend's scanner is that the transformer and power cord came directly connected to the unit as shown in one of the pictures. It also came with an extra transformer (may be somebody can figure out how to add a connector to the back?) It was also shipped in a regular box with a lot of bubble wrap, not in the original Minolta box. I always used it with the USB connection. It come with one film and one slide holder (FH-M10 and SH-M10)  It also comes with a disk with a 'User manual and USB driver' that I never used. I used VueScan by www.hamrick.com which will run under Vista and is far superior to the original Minolta software (I used both programs with my friends scanner). The ICE infrared dust removal feature is unbelievable and the 5400 x 5400 dpi a must if you're serious about your old slides and film. The WTC picture was scanned from a negative at 5400 dpi and gives you a 38 megapixel scan. The detail shows the 'WTC 2' sign next to my right elbow. I only wish I had a better camera at that time!
