Description
A very rare, truly magnificent carbon arc magic lantern slide projector in original wooden box, made by Bausch & Lomb Optical Co., Rochester N.Y. in, I guess, the 1910s-1920s. The lens bears the name of the company and a number 1412598 etched on the casing. This model is designed for a public showing. The front of the projector can be extended for a bigger/smaller projected image. The slide loader is designed for two 3x4 slides. Comes with the original graphite cone. The lens has a focus adjuster. The magic lantern is offered here for about half price of what it would cost at an antique store (if you find something like that there). Size: 15 x 6 (17 x 6 extended); box 24 ½ x 12 x 7 ½ Shipping: The shipping charges will be determined later. The approximate weight is 25 lb. The boxed lantern will be shipped insured, in a large cardboard box with additional bubble wrap stuffing. The buyer will pay $5 handling fee on top of the actual shipping cost.
