Designer J. Fleury Hermagis, Paris. Also known for his experimentation with paper and silver in the darkroom. The British Journal of Photography states: in the Almanac of 1874 which included a drawing of Hermagis camera mentions the portability of this camera. Camera includes the original nickel-plated helix focusing lens; quarterplate format (ground glass measures 3-3/8 x 3-7/8”) in superb to close to near mint condition.
