Description This auction is for the Minox B, with its famous 15mm Complan lens designed by Arthur Seibert.  Seibert gained his optical design experience while working as a member of the Leitz design staff.  Designing a lens sharp enough to deliver good pictures with a format this small was no mean feat.  Seibert solved the problem by curving the film gate, thus eliminating curvature of field as a design variable.  By providing this additional degree of freedom, it became possible to control the remaining abberations to a greater degree than would otherwise have been possible.  Without that stroke of insight, there would have been no Minox, and the world's best spy camera would not have come into being. .The present example is in good working condition, with an accurate shutter and a clean and clear lens.  I have tested it, and it delivers good, sharp pictures.  It comes complete with the instruction manual, plus the Minox Pocket Companion book by Joseph D.
